Neyland were once bowled out for 20 against Kilgetty, Lamphey were once bowled out for 24 against Llangwm while Neyland had Cresselly 39-8 in the Duggie Morris final a few weeks ago before they recovered to 85 all out despite having a first innings lead. On Saturday, Pembroke Dock had Crymych 12-5 as the Mountain men tried to overhaul the host’s modest 118 and with five men back in the hutch with less than a Baker’s dozen on the board then Luke Murray’s men would have been confident of gaining valuable points as they battle to avoid relegation. Tyler Durden - a fighter not a cricketer As I write this, the test match in Edgbaston had been developing quicker than an imminent arrest in a serial killer case keeping all spectators and avid TV viewers gripped. Pembrokeshire cricket was no less exciting over the weekend as news leaked of gang warfare at Saundersfoot while a player from Pembroke Dock was causing his own havoc at Hundleton. The win/lose/draw debate raised its ugly head on twitter too after Llanrhian smashed St Ishmaels yet Tish held on for a draw. More of the latter later but back to the former for now. It wasn’t gang warfare of course it was no such thing but as we know the game between Saundersfoot and Kilgetty was abandoned  due to a bout of fisty cuffs that obviously has no place in the game. Hook ladies - celebrating their brilliant comeback There’s been some great performances this season by individuals and teams but does any surpass this performance by Hook ladies in the final of the Skelfayre cup?   The women’s game is often overlooked in the local scene but there are some great players to be found and the majority were on show in this game played at Hook.   There’s Sam Rossiter who’s scoring runs for fun in men’s cricket. Jo Kerrison, who hobbles about on one knee now as her joints have worn away through playing cricket, hockey, Athletics and such like and Jemma Phillips, daughter of Haverfordwest legend Andrew, who has obviously inherited her father’s predatory instincts in the field having taken a hat-trick of catches in the game.
