What are your hopes for the coming season? Getting 11 players every week

Apart from you, who else could win your division? Carew 2nds

What are you most looking forward to this season? Having less rain than the winter

What are you least looking forward to this season? Trying to get 11 players to Laugharne in time for an Alan Brown game

If the league title was determined by the quality of teas produced, who would win your division? Carew

Name. Phil Cockburn

What team are you leading into battle? St ishmaels 1st team
Where did you finish last year? 4th

Any new players? Signed Jack and Harry Nicholas from Herbrandsron, both have been impressive in the nets pre season.

Any players left the club? No players have left the club

What are your hopes for the coming season? Try and finish as high as possible and possibly better our selves from last season, and looking for a good cup run.

Apart from you who else can win your division? Cresselly got to be favourites and will take some beating with such a strong batting line up. But can never write off Neyland or Haverfordwest.

What are you most looking forward to this season? Back playing cricket with all mates and also glad to have 2 young new signings

What are you least looking forward to this season? Not looking forward to having to set a field against Cresselly.
If the league title was determined by the quality of teas produced, who would win your division? I think we would be pushing for top spot now that Carew aren’t there.

Name? Sean Hannon

What team are you leading into battle? Neyland CC

Where did you finish last year? Third in the league

Any new players in? No new players

Any players leave the club? No players have left

What are your hopes for the coming season? The ultimate aim is to recapture the first division title having last won it in 2014. With the quality of our side I believe it’s more than just a pipe dream and we have a genuine chance of securing the championship this campaign. It would also be great to win a back-to-back Harrison Allen, something which haven’t been achieved since 05/06 seasons. With dangerous players like Nathan Banner, Nick Koomen, Ashley Sutton and Paul Murray coupled with our own blend of youth in Geraint Rees and Jamie Smith and experience with the Miller brothers I can’t see why anyone could write us off to achieve this.

Apart from you, who else could win your division? Cresselly are the obvious ones with Dan Cherry signing last year and rumours that Daniel Sutton has signed this year. Haverfordwest will always be knocking on the door and have a good mix of youth and experience and Whitland are a good emerging side who have been threatening to compete for the last few seasons, capable of beating anyone on their day.

What are you most looking forward to this season? Sun! All Jokes aside, playing in a competitive environment with my mates whilst still keeping within the spirit of the game.

What are you least looking forward to this season? Rained off games. I hope the weather will be kind to us as no one enjoys standing round waiting for the rain to stop so we can start play.

If the league title was determined by the quality of teas produced, who would win your division? Carew would usually win this hands down. I’m looking forward to Wendy Bradshaw’s teas down in Tish for our first game of the season but I’ve got to say Whitland.

Name? Iestyn Scourfield

What team are you leading into battle? Whitland Cricket Club

Where did you finish last year? 6th

Any new players in? Returning players Owain Evans and Steffan James – from Carmarthen Wanderers

Any players leave the club? None as far as I am aware

What are your hopes for the coming season? Challenge for the league (finish at least top three) and make it to both Harrison Allen and Duggie Morris finals (win and retain).

Apart from you, who else could win your division? With the greatest respect to the other sides, it will be one of Haverfordwest, Cresselly or Neyland. You’d have to fancy Cresselly with their batting line-up but they’ll have to do it with the ball as well.

What are you most looking forward to this season? The two players re-joining the club are both very exciting players whom I look forward to playing with again. I also look forward to matters off the pitch at Whitland CC as we are a great social club. Non-cricket related – The football world cup is also exciting.

What are you least looking forward to this season? Weather cancellations. We have been unlucky in recent seasons to have games cancelled in which we were confident of picking up points.

If the league title was determined by the quality of teas produced, who would win your division? With Carew now playing in division 2, Whitland’s tea takes it by a mile. I doubt any other captain would argue against that!

If the league title was determined by the quality of teas produced, who would win your division? Carew

Name? Stefan Jenkins

What team are you leading into battle? Cresselly 2nd XI

Where did you finish last year? Champions of Division 3 after a nail biting 3-way finish in 2017.

Any new players in? There has been one signing so far, with Dan Sutton joining the club from Johnston.

Any players leave the club? At the moment, no players have left the club for the 2018 season.

What are your hopes for the coming season? The main aim will be to ensure we stay in Division 2. It is going to be extremely tough as there are some really strong teams teams in the division. Success in the Alec Colley Cup is also high on the list of priorities. Blooding some youngsters such as Josh and Morgan Lewis in the seconds would also be great.

Apart from you, who else could win your division? Carew will obviously be the strongest team in the division, but there will be lots of teams in the mix including Narberth, Saundersfoot and Llechryd.
What are you most looking forward to this season? The first game of the season, evening cricket and playing in warm weather

What are you least looking forward to this season? The weekly weather watching, making difficult decisions in selection, playing in cold weather!!

Where did you finish last year? Finished in 2nd place last season.

Any New signings? We welcome the signing of Daniel Sutton from Johnson and the return of Matthew Morgan.

Any players leave the club? No.

What are your hopes for the coming season? Our aim this season is to seriously compete for the league championship and knockout competitions, including the National Village Cup.

Apart from you, who else could win your division? Neyland are led well by Sean Hannon and are certainly a team that could win the league this season. They are a well organised outfit with match winners and experience throughout. Additionally, Haverfordwest have been a consistent side and with a firing Adam James can beat anyone in the league on their day.

What are you most looking forward to this season? Personally, the Harrison Allen knockout is the pinnacle for Pembrokeshire cricketers. Having led the club to the final in the last two seasons we as team want to lift the bowl for our loyal supporters.

What are you least looking forward to this season? I’m least looking forward to checking the unpredictable Pembrokeshire weather every week! More seriously the selection at Cresselly will be challenging as we have a particularly strong set of players this year that all have the commitment and quality to represent the 1st team.

If the league title was determined by the quality of teas produced, who would win your division? For the best teas I would have to say that we are always very well looked after by St Ishmaels…plus they always have Sky Sports on in the tea room which is always a bonus!

Name? Wayne Jones

Apart from you, who else could win your division? In all honesty I can’t see any team getting near Lawrenny this year, but if I had to pick a team to come second behind us it would be Cresselly or Neyland.

What are you most looking forward to this season? The massive sessions after the games with the lads!!

What are you least looking forward to this season? Playing 90 overs of cricket every Saturday!

If the league title was determined by the quality of teas produced, who would win your division?

Disappointed Carew are not in the league this year as they win on teas hands down every year. Whitland would probably be my choice of teas out of the current teams in the division.

What are you least looking forward to this season? The wife nagging me about being a cricket widow

If the league title was determined by the quality of teas produced, who would win your division?

Neyland produced a feast good enough for a wedding banquet last year so I’m going to say them even though we’re playing at Carew this year.
